Will Tuladhar-Douglas, as a child, was left to run around the Los Angeles arboretum where the Tarzan films were made so long as he also sold memberships to unsuspecting visitors. He now lectures in anthropology at the University of Aberdeen, undertakes fieldwork in the Himalayas, runs a consulting firm with his wife, and serves on a number of IUCN commissions, including the working group on Cultural and Spiritual Values of Protected Areas.
