Dawn Edwards, RHS Botanist Dawn has worked as a botanist at the Royal Horticultural Society Wisley since 2006 with a focus on horticultural taxonomy. She is one of the editors of RHS Plant Finder and was one of the editors of the 8th edition of The Hillier Manual of Trees and Shrubs. Current projects include investigation into the identity of Gunnera both in gardens and in the wild in Britain and Ireland, preparation of the 9th edition of The Hillier Manual of Trees and Shrubs and the drawing together of a list of all hardy plants in cultivation in Britain and Ireland. Dawn studied Botany at the University of Reading undertaking undergraduate and PhD research on Aspalathus and other genistoid legumes.
