Back to presentations: Plant Records Training Day

Tim Baxter works as the Botanist at the University of Liverpool Ness Botanic Garden. His main role is as a senior technician responsible for plant records and auditing, labelling, plant identification, propagation of wild origin plants, herbarium and Index Seminum. Tim is passionate about woody plants and especially the taxonomy of Spiraea and Alnus, with a broad knowledge of the other Ness specialities of Sorbus and Betula. He trained as a forester but developed an interest in all wildlife, and especially plants, while hunting for ancient trees and forests in his native Herefordshire.
