Elisa Biondi Botanical Collections Horticulturist the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Elisa studied Science and Technology for Nature and Environment at Udine University, Northern Italy. She finished her studies as a Bachelorette of Sciences. She subsequently worked in a landscape architectês company in Northern Italy and undertook land evaluation before venturing into horticulture. She came to Kew in 2006 for an internship and returned to complete a traineeship in glasshouse horticulture in 2009. She was then appointed specialist trainee in glass and finished her traineeship managing the Cacti and Succulent unit in the Tropical Nursery. She was appointed second in command of the Princess of Wales conservatory in 2012. Nick Johnson Manager of the Princess of Wales Conservatory, Royal Botanic Garden Kew. A gardener for his entire working career, Nick served an apprenticeship in a small landscaping and tree-surgery firm in Godalming, Surrey whilst studying at Merrist Wood College. Subsequently spent 5 years as their contracts manager. From there, he went on to be supervising gardener of Munstead House. Nick joined Kew in 2002 on the rotational gardeners scheme and soon found a permanent position in the tropical nursery, where he was eventually appointed manager of the temperate and conservation collections. Since 2012, Nick has been manager of the Princess of Wales Conservatory.
