Back to presentations: Managing and enhancing the visitor experience in botanic and historic gardens
Judy Preston is a garden historian, career coach and volunteer guide at the University of Bristol Botanic Garden. These strands came together serendipitously in 2008 when she undertook a part-time six month post and six years later she continues to work there, now concentrating on growing the garden’s education and tour programmes. She writes and speaks regularly on garden history matters, mainly but not exclusively, on the 18th century and has recently been involved in research support for planning issues and restoration plans for landscapes in Northamptonshire, Somerset and Bristol.
