Philip Turvil, Master Gardener Programme Manager, Garden Organic

Philip manages volunteer ‘Master Gardener’ networks across the UK, supporting thousands of people to grow plants in urban spaces. He is an experienced advisor for several organisations and radio, including BBC, London 2012, Horticulture Week, and Food for Life Partnership. Philip was a finalist for two national awards with the Garden Media Guild, for Journalist of the Year 2011 and Practical Journalist of the Year 2012. He was co-opted to the committee of the Garden Media Guild in 2013.

Philip has worked in botanic, heritage and zoological gardens in practical and education roles. He has an honours degree in horticulture from the University of Reading and a masters in management from the University of Bath.
