Ruth Godfrey is the Education Officer at the University of Leicester Botanic Garden and its satellite facility, the Attenborough Arboretum.  She trained as a teacher at the University of Warwick and has worked as a teacher both in the UK and in Zambia. She joined the teacher team at the University of Leicester Botanic Garden in 2002 and by 2004 was appointed to the post of Education Officer. Ruth leads a team of teachers who deliver a wide range of programmes across many subjects and age-ranges. She also has managed a range of successful projects which include those funded by the Arts Council, Field Studies Council, Royal Society, Department for International Development, Santander and Botanic Gardens Conservation International.
