Back to presentations: Volunteers in Gardens and Arboreta
Mark Wallington is Section Leader for Horticulture and Countryside at Bridgwater College, Cannington Centre, where the facilities include an impressive Walled Garden opened in April 2009 by HRH The Earl of Wessex. Mark has been in this role for a year and was previously in a similar role heading up the Countryside and Agriculture team at Moulton College, Northamptonshire, where he worked for 9 years. The move into education followed an enjoyable 7 years working as a Ranger for Essex County Council and then County Manager for Essex British Trust for Conservation Volunteers. Although not a horticulturist by training, Mark has a keen interest in gardening and gardens, and is undertaking a Level 2 RHS qualification.
