What can we do to help?

We’re all aware of the current situation and how it is having a huge effect on everybody, not only in Britain and Ireland but all around the world. As horticulturists, we are not on the front line but we have been impacted, with many staff furloughed or working in very restricted conditions. We want to support you as much as possible during this time.

We have arranged a series of weekly webinars designed to inform and stimulate discussion as well as a separate weekly virtual coffee morning for members who might be missing the social life of working in a garden. All links are provided in the weekly membership newsletter.

A range of other resources, including an expanded newsletter and online resources, is also available. Find out what additional benefits we are offering to all members at PlantNetwork and COVID-19.

The 2020-21 membership period has just commenced and now more than ever, we need your support to help us deliver activities, events and resources to you, our members. We realise that we are asking for a financial contribution at what is a financially difficult period for everyone but we believe that the extra support we can offer through our weekly programmes is incredibly helpful. Even if you are furloughed, you are still able to engage with training and learning opportunities, keeping you on top of your game.

Read the message from the PlantNetwork Chair, Simon Toomer, here. If you would like to delay payment of your membership subscription, we would be very happy to arrange this for you so PLEASE get in touch with Rebecca Slack, PlantNetwork Coordinator.

To everyone who has renewed their membership and our sponsors – a huge THANK YOU. Your support is incredibly valuable and will contribute to what we can do to help the horticultural community through these difficult times.
