The Virtual Tea Break

During lockdown, PlantNetwork organised a virtual coffee morning as a way of linking furloughed gardeners with horticulturists who were self-isolating as well as those still gardening. We intend to keep this going – same format but different times.

Using our online meeting room, we would like to invite PlantNetwork members to join us at any of the dates/times below. The times move around to allow for different working patterns. You are welcome to join the tea break as an individual or as a group, especially if the time slot corresponds with your usual break time. You can also suggest a time! And you don’t have to stay for the full time slot – pop in for a few minutes at any time in the session.

The tea break is an informal chat – no agenda, no topics. We might discuss horticultural issues but equally, we might not. It is, however, an opportunity to meet gardeners from other gardens, expand your networks and you might pick up a few ideas or suggestions – even if they are only cake-related. Everyone is welcome – the only requirements are PlantNetwork membership (individual, student or if you work for a garden/organisation which has institutional membership of PlantNetwork) and a beverage of your choice.

Meeting instructions are provided in the weekly newsletter and do not change from week to week. Sign up for the newsletter if you haven’t already!
