We are now in a period of lockdown with travel beyond the home severely restricted to try and stop the further spread of the novel coronavirus. For more information, please see the latest (23/03/2020) advice from the UK government and the Irish government.
PlantNetwork has made the decision to cancel the Glasshouse Day on 24th March 2020 and, with the RBGE, to postpone Promoting Excellence in Horticulture 2020 Conference to 28th-29th October 2020. The Plant Records Group Meeting has also been postponed to 7th October 2020.
Other events might also need to be rescheduled should the current situation extend beyond the end of June. Currently, we have no plans to reschedule the Exotic Gardening event on 8th-9th July 2020 or the other subsequent events but we will notify all involved if this position changes.
The PlantNetwork AGM is still scheduled to take place on 23rd April 2020 but as an online meeting which should allow more members to participate. Please see the AGM webpage for up-to-date information – and if the decision is made to delay it to a later event.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience these cancellations/postponements might cause. We are also evaluating online training and information sharing sessions that might be of interest to members during the lockdown period.
