Dragonfli’s Julian Ives has recently published A Gardeners’s Guide to Biological Pest Control and we have one book to give away in our photo competition.

Between 22 September and 14 October 2022, send your photographs of plant pests, predators and/or biological control measures to @PlantNetwork (Twitter) or @plantnetworkgardens (Instagram) with the following hashtags: #biologicalpestcontrol, #julianives, and #biocontrol. Ensure you send your photo/s by 14 October 2022. Those with the most mentions/likes will be short-listed and a winner selected by a panel from PlantNetwork. The winner will be notified by 24 October! 

Terms & conditions of the competition: open to PlantNetwork members and non-members in the UK only (as prize can only be posted to a UK-based address); only original images to be submitted; the photographer retains copyright of the image but will allow their image/s to be used for the purposes of the competition; no more than two entries per person/SoMe account. Entries must be received by 7pm on 14 October with shortlisting taking place on Monday 17 October 2022. Shortlisting will use the hashtags: #biologicalpestcontrol, #julianives, #biocontrol to determine the most popular images across Twitter and Instagram. A panel from PlantNetwork (including PlantNetwork Coordinator, one trustee and PlantNetwork sponsor/book author, Julian Ives) will select the winning entry by 24 October. Shortlisted and winning entry will be shared across PlantNetwork social media platforms. Winner will receive a copy of the book A Gardeners’s Guide to Biological Pest Control.
