In 2018 our Annual Conference will be hosted at Royal Botanic Garden Kew and will discuss Back to basics – soil and water management, plant nutrition and plant health. We will consider issues, solutions and new research on:
- sustainable water management, water hygiene and management of water in the designed landscape.
- soil health, manmade soils, growing media.
- plant health relating to soil and water, including water-borne diseases and alleviating plant stress.
The conference will include a tour of Kew and opportunities for some behind the scenes visits. We will hold our conference dinner (included in conference costs) on the evening of 18th April.
PlantNetwork 22nd AGM will be held at 14.00 – 14.35 on 19th April. All members welcome.

Day 1. Soil and water management.
Registration 10.00 am – 10.45am 18th April.
Presentation and discussion include maximising soil health, growing media, water hygiene, and sustainable water practices, water in the urban landscape. Garden tour.
Conference dinner 19.00 18th April included.
Day 2. Plant health relating to soil and water management, plant nutrition.
Start 9.30. Conference closes 16.00 hrs 19th April 2018.
Presentation and discussion include nematodes, plant nutrition, plants under stress, emerging plant health threats. Detecting and mitigating tree stress. Tours to look at tree health and the use of technology to detect tree stress.
