Working with Garden Volunteers

Volunteers are a key part of the garden team – many gardens would not be able to open without these fantastic people! In this webinar we heard from two gardens about the range of work undertaken by volunteers, voluntary programmes on offer and the opportunities and challenges of working with volunteers during COVID-19.

We were joined Caroline Beacall from the National Trust’s Shugborough Estate and the Inverness Botanic Garden team of Pamela Sutherland and Gavin Skipper to find out how they involve volunteers in their garden and the recent challenges posed by the pandemic. It was also an opportunity for participants to share experiences.
