Plant Records Meeting 2020

The first ever online PlantNetwork Plant Records Group Meeting took place on Wednesday 7th October 2020. The theme for this meeting was the role of mapping, apps and new technology in plant records management – a fitting subject for the first virtual meeting of the group. With our five fantastic presentations, we explored the latest innovations that can be used in gardens to assist in the creation, maintenance and management of plant records, from developments in digital mapping to new apps and software.

The speakers included Tim Brewer, Senior Lecturer in Resource Survey at Cranfield University; Jonathan Smith of Pear Technology Services; Waheed Arshad of Candide Gardening; Øyvind Rustan, CEO at IrisBG; and, Adam Whitbourne & Arron Brennan at Blarney Castle & Gardens.

Presentations from the meeting are available below. Recordings from the event are available to members from the bottom of this page.
