2016 marks the 300th anniversary of Lancelot ‘Capability Brown’ (1716-1783). He is arguably Britain’s best known landscape architect with over 200 commissions to his name and many of which are still enjoyed today and have been described as ‘England’s greatest contribution to the visual arts’. English Heritage commissioned University of East Anglia in 2013 to review the research carried out to date.
