BGCI’s Directory of Expertise is designed to showcase botanic garden expertise and allows experts within botanic gardens to promote and use their own skills and knowledge to the benefit of the wider community. It is open for applications from individuals working within BGCI member institutions. The Directory currently includes 11 areas of expertise: Botanic Garden Conceptualisation and Design, Conservation Assessment, Conservation Horticulture, Ecological Restoration, Exceptional Species, Plant Health and Biosecurity, Plant Conservation Policy, Public Engagement, Seed Conservation, Sustainability, and Tree Conservation.
