May 22nd - Neurodiversity
Your organisation almost certainly has neurodivergent members of staff: up to 20% of people in the UK are neurodivergent in some way, which is approximately 13 million people. This course defines and explains the broad range of different types of neurodiversity, including practical advice for ensuring inclusion in both the recruitment process and the workplace.

June 6th - Unconscious bias
This workshop explores what unconscious bias is, where it comes from, how it can operate in the workplace, and what changes can be made to mitigate any negative impacts. Participants will be encouraged to understand their own potential biases and create a practical action plan to challenge themselves.

June 18th - Allyship
Though most people would like to help and support those who face discriminatory barriers and prejudices, many don’t know how to go about it. This course will define what being an ally means, practical changes you can make, and how you can challenge discrimination in yourself and others.

On Tuesday May 28th, Shanna T. Jones of IrisBG, will conduct two onsite training sessions at the Royal Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) at no cost.

- Training Session 1 will be for all role types and permissions

- Training Session 2 will be for IrisBG admins, botanists, and curators.

Afterwards, the RBGE staff will host a special behind the scenes garden tour.
