PlantNetwork Webinar: Conservation of Native Plants

Registration is closed for this event
We hear from three gardens about their native plant conservation projects. Join Mark Brent from Oxford Botanic Garden, Martine Borge from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh and Carly Green from the National Botanic Garden of Wales to find out what gardens can do to contribute to the conservation of British flora.

Public gardens, particularly botanic gardens, play a significant role in the ex situ conservation of plants from around the world but what role can they play in conserving local flora? We hear from three gardens involved in doing just this - from the Oxford water meadows to the flora of the Scottish Highlands and rare Welsh plants. We'll also be joined by Dr Elizabeth Cooke from Plantlife who will be talking about the Colour in the Margins project. It is an opportunity for you to tell us about any local projects you are involved in and share your experiences of native plant conservation in a horticultural context.
