This newsletter is only available to members of PlantNetwork. Institutional members receive several copies of the Newsletter for circulation amongst their staff.

    • Fiona Crumley has been appointed as Head Gardener at Chiswick House
    • Paul Forrest has been appointed as Property Manager and Head Gardener at the two properties at Melrose in the care of the National Trust for Scotland: Harmony Garden and Priorwood Garden.
    • Robert Holliman is the new Head Gardener at Haddo House, National Trust for Scotland.
    • Clare Reaney was recently appointed Horticultural Technician at the University of Dundee Botanic Garden.
    • The Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh welcomed four new members of staff in early March 2007: Benjamin Dell, Lesley Scott, Neil Davidson and Laura Gallagher; and Daniel Hodgkinson joins in April. David Paterson, Deputy Director of Horticulture, will take on the new position of China Project Officer, on 2 April 2007, while David Knott will become the new Curator of the Outdoor Living Collection at Edinburgh as well as being Curator of Dawyck Botanic Garden.
    • Mercy Morris has taken over from Jan Lambourn as Conservation Officer for the NCCPG. Jan ha taken up a post in the Fruit Garden at RHS Wisley.
    • At Cambridge University Botanic Garden, Sally Petitt has been appointed as Garden Supervisor, Mark Crouch as Arborist and Helen Seal as Head of the Alpine section
    • Katherine Forsey has been appointed as Education Officer at the Castle Howard Arboretum.
    • Joe Rowntree resigned as Curator of Sheffield Botanic gardens at the end of February.
    • Robert (Bob) Brown, Instructor Gardener for the National Trust for Scotland at Threave for 43 years, was awarded the Scottish Horticultural Medal at the Annual General Meeting of the Royal Caledonian Horticultural Society, at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, in January 2007.
