Booking form – Managing a Historic Tree Collection in a Public Park

9:45am to 4:00pm Friday 11 October 2013 at Bute Park & Arboretum, Cardiff

The Parks Service of Cardiff Council invites you to join us for an introduction to our nationally significant public park tree collection. The 56-ha Bute Park & Arboretum lies in the heart of Cardiff and is currently undergoing major restoration, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This has enabled us to understand the significance of the tree collection and begin the process of engaging with the community.

The day will include:

  • talks by the restoration project team and Dr Owen Johnson from the Tree Register of the British Isles
  • a practical interpretation workshop
  • an interactive tour of the park.

A light lunch will be provided.

The Bute Park Restoration Project team looks forward to welcoming you to our popular new education centre in the heart of Bute Park.  All PlantNetwork members are welcome.  Some free places are available for students – please ask for details.
