Blooms for Bees

Gardeners across the UK are being invited to join in a citizen science project – Blooms for Bees – which sets out to discover which flowers are bumblebee favourites. The project is led by Coventry University’s Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience (CAWR), in partnership with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and Garden Organic and has been made possible by funding from The Heritage Lottery Fund and Coventry University.

Gardeners can find out about the UK’s 25 bumblebee species, learn how to identify them and record sightings of bumblebees on garden flowers. Data will be gathered through the Blooms for Bees app available for free from the App Store or Google Play.
