All change at PlantNetwork

As reported in the last Newsletter, Judy Cheney has stepped down from her position as administrator. Judy held this position since our beginnings in 1994 and has been PlantNetwork’s greatest and most reliable asset: organising over a hundred meetings, writing thousands of minutes and keeping in correspondence and contact with the entire plant-collection world in these islands for a good twenty years. Her dedication and hard work are what has built up the organisation. She has ably supported five chairmen, over forty trustees and brought training, erudition and enlightenment to so many.

We are delighted to be able to announce that Pamela Smith has been appointed as our new Administrator.  Pam has been a trustee on the board of PlantNetwork since 2000 and will be known to many. Pam has stepped down from being a trustee in order to take on the role of PlantNetwork Administrator, which she will undertake in parallel to her National Trust role as Gardens and Parks Consultant for the Midlands.

As part of this the office has moved, telephone numbers and email addresses have changed…
