Guiding principles behind the collection
The garden aims to provide a research, education and community resource for the University and City of Dundee and as such is a key external face of the organisation. The University of Dundee Botanic Garden's mission is to raise awareness of the vital role of plants in the survival of our planet. it aims to support scientific research and education in plant science and to contribute to biodiversity conservation. We further aim to encourage a wider appreciation of plants and gardens for recreation and inspiration.
